Shah Jehan Mosque Thatta, Pakistan. The architecture and symmetry give an aura of peace and tranquility. The side gallery of repeating arches create patterns of light and shadow. This mosque was built in 1647 during the reign of Mughal King Shah Jahan. The mosque is built with red bricks with blue coloured glaze tiles likely imported from another Sindh's town of Hala. The patterns, colors, shadows and lines change as you move through the courtyards and side galleries. The windows of open lattice work bring in cool breezes from the surrounding garden.
